This is an awesome renovation of one of the first homes called La Muna House built in the ultraexclusive enclave of Red Mountain in Aspen Colorado. This is a fantastic rustic ski chalet with all its imperfections clad in reclaimed regional wood, stone and steel. The architects from Oppenheim Architecture Design tried to make a minimal impact on the natural resources and merge effortlessly with its idyllic surroundings of forest, stream and mountain because it’s one of a kind. The house is extremely eco-friendly not only due to this minimal impact but also due to the solar collectors that provide needed energy for power and hot water. The interior is ultra-minimalist, gray, black and white; a homage to the Japanese sensibility of wabi sabi. That’s really an exclusive house!
